Lorna's Beauty Tips

Revitalize Your Skin All Winter Long

What makes your skin lose its healthy glow and make it feel itchy and dry? Skin really takes a beating from the cold winter months, indoor heating and outdoor exposure and requires extra protection.

Here are some tips to keep your skin looking great:

  • Use a mild and soap-free facial cleanser.
  • Switch to a richer facial moisturizer to replenish the skin, leaving it comfortably soft.
  • Avoid exfoliating. The dry air in many homes actually exfoliates the skin. You need to moisturize to maintain hydration.
  • Avoid long, hot showers as they can deprive your skin of much needed moisture.
  • Apply a rich moisturizer to damp skin after showering.
  • Don't skip the use of sunscreen. Women or men who participate in winter sports or spend time with children outdoors should apply sunscreen (SPF 30), or a moisturizer with sunscreen daily. So don't be fooled into thinking that the rays aren't reaching you in the winter.

One of the aesthetic consultants at Revita Medispa will assist you to renew, revitalize and moisturize the skin, keeping it soft and supple for days on end with Alyria Skin Optimizing Products.
