BOTOX® for hyperhidrosis is a safe solution to preventing excessive sweating. BOTOX® is a purified natural protein obtained from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and is cultivated through modern methods.

BOTOX® for hyperhidrosis works by blocking the chemical signal from the nerve to the target tissue which is the sweat gland. Once the sweat gland is no longer stimulated by the overactive nerve the excessive sweating will come to a hault. During the procedure a small volume of the durg is injected by a needle into the treatment area. Most patients find the procedure to be pain free, however, the patient may opt to apply a local anaesthetic cream if they are concerned about the pain.

BOTOX® for hyperhidrosis is extremly effective. On average, excessive sweating is cut by 83% and the effects will usually last for about 7 months allowing patients to feel dryer and more confident in their appearance. Patients can expect to notice a significant reduction of sweating from the treated areas within a week of the treatment.
